Associate Corporate and M&A

Our client, Agio Legal, is a dynamic law firm with offices in Antwerp, Brussels, and Waasmunster known for its strong personal commitment to clients and collaborative culture. What will you do?

Our client’s young and fast-growing Corporate and M&A team assists clients with company formation and restructuring, as well as any corporate governance questions in Belgium. In addition, they provide legal support for venture capital and start-up transactions, private mergers & acquisitions, and capital market transactions. The team also has extensive experience coordinating national and international due diligences and transactions.

With clients and matters often spanning Europe and beyond, as an Associate Corporate and M&A at Agio Legal, you will actively work on researching, advising, and negotiating Corporate Law matters, including:

  • Company formation and financing
  • Shareholder agreements
  • Corporate housekeeping
  • Mergers & acquisitions
  • Due diligence
  • Directors’ liability
  • Company exits

What does the ideal candidate look like?

To be successful in this role and thrive at Agio Legal, we believe you need to have:

  • at least 2 years of experience in corporate law and M&A.
  • A strong interest in advising mid-sized and large Belgian companies on Belgian corporate law, supporting transactions and restructurings, and handling corporate disputes.
  • Native Dutch proficiency and strong, confident skills in French and English.
  • Motivation, proactivity, and meticulous attention to detail, combined with strong legal analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A hands-on, no-nonsense mentality.
  • Dedication and commitment to clients and colleagues every day.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach, acting as a trusted partner for both clients and colleagues.

What is in it for you?

Our client offers a challenging and inspiring career where you are encouraged to push your boundaries and fully develop yourself as a lawyer-entrepreneur. Great colleagues come as a bonus! In addition, you can count on:

  • Varied and intellectually stimulating work
  • Direct contact with clients
  • A work environment that values personal relationships and work-life balance
  • An attractive, market-competitive compensation package
  • Opportunities for professional development and promotion within the firm
  • Support in developing your own client portfolio
  • Collaboration with Agio Capital and Agio Finance
