What you can expect

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the Tax / Fiscal Accountant will have the following responsibilities:

Tax:

•Ensuring timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and IC listings

•Ensuring monthly Intrastat declarations

•Ensuring timely and accurate submission of income tax returns, with support from our tax consultants

•Compliance with transfer pricing obligations: preparation and submission of transfer pricing documentation, in collaboration with our head office and tax consultants

• Assessing MB Trucks' activities for exposure to other taxes, e.g. withholding tax

•Compliance with customs duties

•Gathering information in the context of tax inspections and other audits

These tasks are carried out for the group's three Belgian companies.

Accounting:

•Responsible for IFRS tax accounting and quarterly/annual reporting in support of group consolidation and the annual report (including Deferred Tax Tool)

•Calculating the annual effective tax rate and income tax

•Responsible for calculating and posting IFRS items (IFRS 16, IAS 19, etc.)

•Balance sheet review for all tax-related accounts (VAT, tax, social security contributions, etc.)

•VAT reconciliation

•Fixed asset accounting

•Checking VAT processing of incoming invoices

Reporting:

•CSRD Reporting

•Internal Control assessments

•Ad hoc tasks / projects

That is why you are a match

• You have a degree in finance/economics and at least 7 years of experience in a similar position

• You are results-oriented and flexible regarding deadlines. You have strong conceptual and analytical skills, can work independently and bring assignments to a successful end

•You are fluent in Dutch and/or French and English

•Good planning, organizational and coordination skills

•Strong analytical skills and critical thinking

•Good communication skills & team spirit, ability to work with people from different cultural or professional backgrounds
