Project Safety Supervisor

General description:

• The project safety expert is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all project employees and stakeholders. The focus is on proactively identifying risks, implementing safety procedures and advising the project management and the implementation team. Is a team player throughout the project organization.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Risk Evaluation and Analysis:
• Conducts workplace inspections and safety rounds at project sites.
• Submits a rap pop every day
• Draws up Task Risk Analyses (TRAs) and risk inventories.
• Identifies potential hazards and unsafe situations and advises on preventive measures.
• Project support and advice:
• Leads kick-off meetings to include safety aspects in the project plan.
• Advises project teams, contractors and project managers on safe working and risk management.
• Ensures compliance with HSE and H&S (Safety, Health, and Environment) plans.
• Checks compliance with the method statement in the project
• Communication and training:
• Acts as a point of contact for all safety-related questions.
• Proactively informs contractors, project leaders and other stakeholders about safety developments.
• Supports in promoting a culture of safety within the project.
• Coached the workers in the field.
• Incident handling:
• Is involved in investigations of safety incidents and accidents.
• Participates in incident evaluation and implements lessons learned.
• Levert input voor de lessons learned sessions.

Documentation and reporting:

• Keeps track of risks and unsafe situations and reports on them.
• Ensures correct administration of safety documentation.

Qualifications and skills:

• Education: Secondary Safety Science (MVK) or Higher Safety Science (HVK) is often required.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Result-oriented and decisive, especially in emergency situations.
• Flexible and organizationally strong.
• Proactive attitude.
