Project Safety Supervisor
General description:
- The project safety expert is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all project employees and stakeholders. The focus is on proactively identifying risks, implementing safety procedures and advising the project management and the implementation team. Is a team player throughout the project organization.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Risk Evaluation and Analysis:
- Conducts workplace inspections and safety rounds at project sites.
- Submits a rap pop every day
- Draws up Task Risk Analyses (TRAs) and risk inventories.
- Identifies potential hazards and unsafe situations and advises on preventive measures.
- Project support and advice:
- Leads kick-off meetings to include safety aspects in the project plan.
- Advises project teams, contractors and project managers on safe working and risk management.
- Ensures compliance with HSE and H&S (Safety, Health, and Environment) plans.
- Checks compliance with the method statement in the project
- Communication and training:
- Acts as a point of contact for all safety-related questions.
- Proactively informs contractors, project leaders and other stakeholders about safety developments.
- Supports in promoting a culture of safety within the project.
- Coached the workers in the field.
- Incident handling:
- Is involved in investigations of safety incidents and accidents.
- Participates in incident evaluation and implements lessons learned.
- Levert input voor de lessons learned sessions.
Documentation and reporting:
- Keeps track of risks and unsafe situations and reports on them.
- Ensures correct administration of safety documentation.
Qualifications and skills:
- Education: Secondary Safety Science (MVK) or Higher Safety Science (HVK) is often required.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Result-oriented and decisive, especially in emergency situations.
- Flexible and organizationally strong.
- Proactive attitude.
