Freelance PL/SQL Developer with oracle experience - Long Term - Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database / PL/SQL Developer with strong development expertise to design, develop, and maintain database solutions that support business-critical applications. The role focuses on SQL and PL/SQL development, Oracle database optimisation, and data modelling to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability of enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code, including procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Develop and optimise Oracle Database objects to support application and reporting needs.
• Perform data modelling activities to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable database structures.
• Analyse performance issues and implement tuning strategies for queries and database objects.
• Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with database standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of production database issues.

Experience

• Strong development background with hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Proven experience working with Oracle Databases.
• Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, including relational and logical models.
• Experience writing efficient, maintainable, and well-documented database code.
