Commissioning Lead (CXA) – Data Centre

Client Side | 12-Month Contract

📍 Belgium

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead (CXA) to join a client-side team on a 12-month contract supporting the delivery of a major data centre project in Belgium.

Acting as the client’s representative, you will take ownership of the commissioning process from design through to handover, ensuring critical systems are delivered safely, compliantly, and perform in line with operational requirements.

Role Overview

• Lead and manage the overall commissioning strategy for a hyperscale / large-scale data centre
• Act as the client-side Commissioning Authority (CXA)
• Oversee commissioning from design review through construction, testing, IST, and handover
• Ensure systems are delivered to meet resilience, availability, and performance targets

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commissioning plan and programme
• Review design documentation for commissioning, operability, and maintainability
• Coordinate and manage commissioning activities across all MEP and CSA systems
• Oversee and witness factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and IST
• Interface with contractors, vendors, designers, and operations teams
• Identify and manage commissioning risks, issues, and dependencies
• Ensure high-quality handover, including O&M documentation and training
• Support soft landings, seasonal testing, and post-handover activities as required

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commissioning Lead / CXA on data centre projects
• Strong technical knowledge of critical MEP systems (HV, LV, UPS, generators, cooling, BMS, EPMS)
• Experience operating in a client-side or independent CXA role
• Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-risk environment
• Valid EU passport (mandatory)
• Willingness to be site-based in Belgium as required
