Market Operations Compliance & Control Analyst


Ensure financial integrity and compliance-join us as a Market Operations Compliance & Control Analyst and keep global treasury processes running flawlessly.

R&D Partners is seeking a Market Operations Compliance & Control Analyst to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Belgium. This role is critical in ensuring compliance and control of market transactions within the Treasury Back Office. The position will temporarily strengthen the team during a period of increased workload and reorganization.

The ideal candidate will have experience in treasury operations, financial controls, and compliance frameworks, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily compliance and control activities for Treasury Transactions, including:
  • Monitoring accuracy, exhaustiveness, and conformity of transactions initiated by the Capital Market Front Office team.
  • Ensuring reciprocity with counterparts in line with ISDA contracts and authorizations.
  • Adhering to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control frameworks and company policies.
  • Manage and monitor financial instrument settlements with banking relationships, adhering to cut-off times and monthly closing timelines.
  • Follow up on litigations with banking relationships.
  • Report and control counterparty exposures and monitor them against defined limits.
  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc reporting on treasury activities.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of Treasury Counterparts within the Treasury Management System, ensuring accurate recording and settlement of financial transactions.
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes related to Market Operations Compliance & Control.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in Treasury (Back Office, Cash Management, In-House Bank, or Treasury Accounting) within multinational corporations or banks.
  • Knowledge of treasury functions, debt capital markets, and financial instruments.
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems (e.g., SAP) and electronic banking systems (e.g., SWIFT) is an asset.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • A certificate in Treasury is a plus.

Skills:

  • Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Innovative mindset, continuously seeking process improvements and efficiencies.
