Geotechnical Engineer
you will be working on our Offshore Renewables projects.

Your Role

• Review and interpret geotechnical reports and data to ensure accurate analysis and application.
• Conduct detailed geotechnical assessments for offshore projects, focusing on pile driveability, jacking, and foundation design.
• Develop and maintain geotechnical software tools.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including operational teams, project management, subcontractors, clients, and marine specialists.
• Provide expert advice and support on geotechnical topics to various departments within JDN.
• Prepare technical reports, design documents, and recommendations.
• Offer on-site support during pile installation and jacking operations, solving engineering problems as they arise.
• Perform back calculations to improve future geotechnical predictions.
• Evaluate and mitigate soil-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in geotechnical engineering and offshore technology.
• Participate in industry research projects.

What do you need?
You have a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences with option Construction and are interested in geotechnics or you have the Dutch equivalent degree of Master of Science in Civil Engineering or Geotechnics. You have a specific affinity for soil mechanics and geotechnics. You have a first relevant work experience in offshore installation techniques and/or theoretical soil mechanics. Be flexible to visit project sites/vessels for short periods. Exhibit strong teamwork and collaboration skills
