Senior Design Engineer

B.E.S. (Business & Engineering Solutions) is experiencing strong growth and is therefore welcoming a Senior Civil Engineer to join its Railway Design project team .

As a Civil Design Engineer at B.E.S. , you will benefit from a collaborative environment where you will work closely with other professionals within an organization focused on innovation.

Your Responsabilities :

• Carry out studies and design civil engineering structures and works (bridges, viaducts, tunnels, retaining structures, geotechnical structures, and technical buildings) throughout all project phases: feasibility, preliminary design, and detailed design.
• Supervise and guide draftsmen/CAD designers in the preparation of drawings, within a BIM-oriented approach.
• Contribute to the development of project schedules and construction phasing.
• Analyze technical challenges and propose optimal solutions while considering budget, deadlines, and constructability.
• Work within multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure coordination between the various disciplines (structural engineering, geotechnics, hydraulics, environmental integration, track design, catenary, signaling, etc.).
• Draft technical specifications for tender documents and provide technical assistance as well as site supervision support.
• Ensure reporting and communicate project progress and results to stakeholders.

Your Profile:

• Civil Engineer with a Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences (Construction) and a minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of structural design and analysis (reinforced concrete, steel, prestressed concrete, composite and mixed structures).
• Solid experience in the design and analysis of civil engineering structures such as bridges, tunnels, and retaining structures.
• Proficiency in structural calculation and modeling tools such as SCIA Engineering, D-Sheet (or equivalent), and Revit; knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is an asset.
• Good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Full professional proficiency in French, good knowledge of Dutch; knowledge of English is a plus.
• Rigorous, methodical, autonomous, and communicative personality, able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with stakeholders from various backgrounds.
