The job

As a Technical Project Manager, you will have a crucial role in the Septentrio R&D organization, driving complex R&D and product development projects from concept to delivery. Acting as a key coordinator and facilitator, you will align multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders around shared objectives, manage scope and priorities, and ensure timely, high-quality execution in a high-tech environment.

Your Mission

Reporting to the Head of Project Management Office, you will be responsible for the management of several key projects (innovation initiatives, technology building blocks, and new product developments). You will manage scope and budget, while balancing risk and time-to-market.

Acting as a Scrum Product Owner towards the project team, you will own Stage-Gate preparation and presentation in close collaboration with the Product Manager, R&D Directors, Team Leaders and Technical Leaders.

You will coordinate internal resources and external third parties/vendors/partnerships throughout the complete project lifecycle​, from contracting to delivery and acceptance. You will facilitate cross-team communication and collaboration to maintain alignment and resolve conflicts, while leading without direct hierarchical authority.

You will report periodically on project operational and financial status, measure project KPIs using company methods and tools and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

You will conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address unforeseen challenges. You will suggest continuous improvements and conduct post-project retrospectives to analyse outcomes and gather lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications

• You hold a Master's degree in Engineering, Geomatics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• You have proven experience in Project Management within high-tech industry including management of large projects. PMI, PRINCE2 or CMMI certification is a plus.
• You're a natural leader who influences without formal authority.
• You have strong communication and presentation skills.
• You have solid technical understanding capabilities, allowing you to assess technical risk and to earn trust of key experts and high potentials.
• You are comfortable multitasking and quickly understanding complex information and data.
• You are proficient in Project management tools including but not limited to the Atlassian suite, MS Project, etc.
• You have proven working experience with Agile/Scrum methodology; Scrum Product Owner or Scrum Master certification is a plus.
• You have a solid working knowledge of financial reporting and budget tracking.
• You are fluent in English. Dutch, French, and/or other languages are an asset.
