Senior AI

Our client is delivering an AI-driven MVP focused on intelligent document processing and retrieval-based question answering. The Senior AI / ML Engineer is responsible for implementing the full technical stack required for this MVP, covering data ingestion, processing pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation, in close collaboration with an AI Architect.

The role is highly execution-oriented, with a strong emphasis on production-ready AI components, performance, and integration within an enterprise cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for document ingestion, parsing, metadata generation, and structured storage.
• Build and optimize embeddings, RAG indexes, search logic, and response generation mechanisms.
• Integrate AI components with Azure OpenAI, internal databases, and backend APIs.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting AI and ML workflows.
• Collaborate closely with the AI Architect to align implementation with the overall solution architecture.
• Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, reviews, and performance optimization.
• Support integrated testing, validation, and MVP stabilization activities.

What are we looking for?

• You have
  7+ years of experience
  in backend or AI/ML engineering roles.
• You bring strong proficiency in
  C#
  and
  .NET
  for data processing and backend development.
• You have hands-on experience designing and implementing
  RAG pipelines
  and
  embeddings-based retrieval
  .
• You possess deep practical experience with
  Azure OpenAI
  or comparable cloud-based AI services.
• You have solid knowledge of data extraction, document processing, and scalable pipeline architectures.
• You bring experience integrating AI components into production-grade systems.
• You are fluent in
  French or Dutch
  and have a good professional level of the other language.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with additional backend technologies such as PHP or JavaScript.
• Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud engineering practices.
• Experience delivering AI-driven MVPs in Agile environments.
• Relevant technical certifications in Azure, .NET, or AI/ML.
