Test Manager

We are supporting a major enterprise-level organisation undergoing a large-scale IT transformation. To strengthen a newly established Test & QA function, we are looking for an experienced Test Manager with strong Test Data Management (TDM) expertise to play a key role in this greenfield initiative.

Logistics

• Role: Freelance Test Manager – Test Data Management
• Contract: 12 months (extension likely)
• Location: Brussels (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)
• Languages: English + French or Dutch
• Start Date: ASAP
• Rate: Competitive & negotiable

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a robust Test Data Management (TDM) strategy
• Ensure availability of secure, compliant, and high-quality test data across environments
• Align test data strategy with overall test approach and project objectives
• Manage the end-to-end testing lifecycle across multiple initiatives
• Oversee test execution, defect management, risks, and quality reporting
• Act as a key stakeholder interface across IT, business, and delivery teams
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and test data practices

Required Skills

• Strong experience as a Test Manager in complex IT environments
• Proven expertise in Test Data Management (masking, anonymisation, subsetting)
• Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar
• SQL knowledge and exposure to test automation (Selenium and/or Robot Framework)
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities

Nice to Have

• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum / Kanban)
• ISTQB certification
• Exposure to energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure domains
