Digital Validation Engineer (FPGA) – Belgium – 6 Months

We are seeking an experienced Digital Validation Engineer to support an FPGA-focused project involving design adaptation, implementation, prototyping, and validation. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across the full FPGA flow, with a particular emphasis on prototyping and electrical validation. You will work closely with another senior expert and the design team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the full FPGA flow from RTL to FPGA bitstream generation and electrical validation
• Develop, apply, and analyze FPGA timing constraints and timing reports
• Support FPGA prototyping, bring-up, and validation activities
• Perform device, board, and bench-level debugging to identify root causes
• Conduct electrical validation using oscilloscopes and digital analyzers
• Collaborate closely with design and validation teams

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with FPGA design, implementation, and validation
• Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog
• Deep understanding of FPGA timing concepts (CDC, clocking, combinatorial loops)
• Hands-on experience with Synplify, Vivado Place & Route, and Xilinx FPGAs
• Experience writing C-based tests and Python code for FPGA testing
• Familiarity with FPGA debug tools and revision control systems (e.g. SVN)
• Solid background in electronics fundamentals and hardware debugging
