Digital Validation Engineer (FPGA) - Belgium - 6 Months

Digital Validation Engineer (FPGA) – Belgium – 6 Months Location: Leuven, Belgium Start: ASAP We are seeking an experienced Digital Validation Engineer to support an FPGA-focused project involving design adaptation, implementation, prototyping, and validation. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across the full FPGA flow, with a particular emphasis on prototyping and electrical validation. You will work closely with another senior expert and the design team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Execute the full FPGA flow from RTL to FPGA bitstream generation and electrical validation Develop, apply, and analyze FPGA timing constraints and timing reports Support FPGA prototyping, bring-up, and validation activities Perform device, board, and bench-level debugging to identify root causes Conduct electrical validation using oscilloscopes and digital analyzers Collaborate closely with design and validation teams Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with FPGA design, implementation, and validation Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog Deep understanding of FPGA timing concepts (CDC, clocking, combinatorial loops) Hands-on experience with Synplify, Vivado Place & Route, and Xilinx FPGAs Experience writing C-based tests and Python code for FPGA testing Familiarity with FPGA debug tools and revision control systems (e.g. SVN) Solid background in electronics fundamentals and hardware debugging
