A leading construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to play a pivotal, client-side role on a major 80MW data centre project in Farciennes, Belgium.

This is a high-impact, site-based leadership role where you will act as an extension of the client organisation, overseeing multiple construction packages and ensuring delivery excellence across safety, quality, programme, and commissioning readiness.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of construction delivery on a technically complex, large-scale data centre project, leading package teams and coordinating closely with contractors, quality managers, and commissioning leads to drive performance through to successful handover.

The role is open to both permanent and interim (contract) professionals, with an excellent salary or day-rate package, and full relocation support available .

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and mentor Construction Package Managers
• Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and delivery standards
• Promote a collaborative, safety-driven, delivery-focused site culture

Construction Delivery

• Oversee daily site activities across multiple construction packages
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and resolve site issues proactively
• Identify, manage, and escalate risks and delays

Quality, Commissioning & Handover

• Work closely with Quality teams to support inspections and resolve non-conformances
• Align construction sequencing with commissioning requirements and timelines
• Ensure smooth transitions from construction to commissioning and operational handover

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Champion a safety-first culture across all site operations
• Monitor contractor compliance with H&S legislation and site standards
• Participate in safety walks, audits, and incident investigations

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Act as the primary interface between the client and contractor teams
• Produce clear, concise progress reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively

About You

• Proven experience delivering data centre or mission-critical construction projects
• Strong track record managing multiple construction packages on large-scale builds
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing, quality management, and commissioning readiness
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable operating in a client-side, site-based role
