Mechanical Technician

• You contribute to the safe, efficient and cost-conscious execution of maintenance activities on the facilities (the pipeline, buildings and terminal grounds);
• You are involved in various technical projects, taking initiative and ensuring close follow-up together with your colleagues;
  
• You carry out, with or without supervision, maintenance, repair and implementation activities on various electrical, mechanical and pneumatic circuits and installations;
• You participate in measurement and testing programmes;
• You diagnose malfunctions and maintenance-related defects and resolve them;
• You assist in calibrating and inspecting equipment;
• You are also responsible for a number of warehouse-related tasks, in line with applicable requirements and (safety) instructions;
• You perform warehouse tasks using a forklift, aerial work platform and crane;
• You work in a day shift with flexible working hours;
• Safety is a top priority: you strictly follow all rules and act as a role model for colleagues, external parties and all other stakeholders;
• You report to the Maintenance Service Manager.

• Preferably, you hold a technical qualification (secondary education, associate degree or bachelor's degree), or you are equivalent through experience; knowledge of process control and automated systems (PLC, safety PLC) is an asset;
• You have in-depth knowledge of mechanics. Basic knowledge of instrumentation, industrial IT, automation and electricity is an additional asset;
• You are eager to learn and open to acquiring new skills. Internal and external training will be provided as part of your professional and personal development;
• You have a good command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is an advantage.
