Freelance Infrastructure Project Manager - Greenfield project
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to lead complex greenfield and transformation initiatives across cloud, data centre, and security domains. This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery of infrastructure programs, from strategy and design through build, migration, and operational handover.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage infrastructure projects across Azure cloud, on‑premise and colocation data centres, and enterprise security platforms
Deliver greenfield infrastructure builds, including cloud landing zones, network foundations, identity, and security controls
Manage large‑scale transformation and migration programs (data centre exits, cloud adoption, hybrid integration, and platform modernisation)
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and governance reporting
Support change management, service transition, and operational readiness activities
Lead delivery of Azure infrastructure including subscriptions, management groups, networking, identity, and security
Manage implementation of Azure Landing Zones and governance frameworks
Oversee cloud migrations using re‑host, re‑platform, and re‑architect strategies Azure services such as Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Azure Monitor, and Defender for Cloud
Ensure cloud solutions are secure, scalable, cost‑optimised, and operationally supportable
Manage greenfield data centre builds or expansions, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, and connectivity
Lead data centre transformation initiatives such as consolidation, refresh, or exit strategies
