Contract Period: Permanent / 2-Year Contract Applications are invited for the above vacancy in Business Improvement Branch of Asset Management Department. Reporting to Manager - Business Process, the appointee plays a role in optimizing power system asset performance, enhancing efficiency, and driving quality improvements, specifically focusing on information technology (IT) projects. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing continuous improvement methodologies, and ensuring cost-effective IT projects. Specific duties include:- Assist in formulating IT development strategies and investment plans in accordance with the established governance framework Review the relevant business processes and management practices; identify gaps from world best practices and devise improvement plans to this effect Coordinate project activities and monitor the progress throughout the development stage Collaborate with IT developers and key stakeholders in Power Systems Business Group to verify the system requirements, specification and/or design features of the system Manage the IT project documentation process to ensure the prompt delivery of a range of system documents such as requirement specifications, system design reports, support quality plan, test strategy/plan, risk assessment and mitigation measure reports, and system help documents Organize user acceptance test; arrange/deliver training for end-users; prepare a rollout schedule for production run and set up a support infrastructure Leverage business intelligence tools to analyze IT performance metrics which turn data into actionable insights Perform duties under adverse weather condition, outside normal working hours, and carry out other duties assigned by supervisor as and when required The successful candidate will also be considered for appointment or job rotation to other Branches to meet the business needs of the department and for self-development. Requirements :- A recognized university degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant discipline A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in utility related business Proficiency in Geographic Information System (GIS) or Enterprise Asset Management System such as Esri or Oracle Utilities products Experience in IT project management and system documentation are preferable Having general awareness in cyber security Familiar with the core business processes of Power Systems Business Group would be an advantage Customer-oriented, self-motivated, good team player, analytical and able to work under pressure and tight schedule Working independently with good interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese and English Candidates with less qualification and/or experience but demonstrate good potential for further development will be considered for a position at lower grade.
