About the Client
Our client is a leading manufacturing company with a global business presence. Currently, they are recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for their Hong Kong office.
About the Role
Report directly to the CEO as a strategic executive partner, providing hands-on support to resolve operational finance challenges while driving long-term growth and valuation enhancement.
Develop and execute comprehensive financing plans to meet targets; build/maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, customers, and government bodies across regions.
Strategize and prepare the company's long-term financing roadmap, including readiness for potential future capital events.
Establish and optimize a global financial management framework, including cross-border tax structures, efficient fund allocation, and treasury operations.
Lead full financial planning cycles: monthly simulations, quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, group consolidation, variance analysis, and high-integrity reporting.
Manage end-to-end financial operations across all manufacturing sites (accounting, product costing, management accounting, compliance, audit coordination, and performance monitoring).
Actively support major strategic projects, including new factory developments, system enhancements, M&A/asset restructuring, and operational excellence initiatives.
Evaluate market/operational risks; design and implement robust financial risk controls and mitigation strategies.
Lead, mentor, and develop a scalable global finance team.
The Successful Applicant
Qualified professional accountant (CPA, ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent) with a degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
20 years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, with significant tenure in manufacturing industry.
Hands-on manufacturing finance experience (including cost control, operations, and local compliance) is preferred.
Proven senior-level track record in global/multi-site environments.
Strong expertise in cross-border finance, international tax optimization, global cash management, and working capital improvement.
Demonstrated success in strategic financing, capital raising, M&A support, asset restructuring, and/or IPO preparation activities.
Excellent team leadership skills with experience managing large, geographically dispersed finance teams.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with sharp business acumen and operational insight.
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Intensive traveling is required.
