The role:
We are looking for a Senior Application Platform Engineer to join an application platform team responsible for supporting development teams and maintaining the platforms hosting business-critical applications.
Purpose of the role: design, maintain and evolve application platforms while enabling development teams to deploy, run and operate their applications efficiently in both traditional and cloud-native environments.
Your main responsibilities:
Design, implement and manage changes to application platforms (Windows Server & Kubernetes-based environments)
Maintain software components that form the application platforms and document support procedures
Support developers and application architects during solution design and accompany them through implementation up to production
Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues and incidents related to deployed applications
Propose improvements and optimizations to the application platforms
Support and coach team members on platform components and best practices
Participate in an on-duty support rotation (24/7) on a 1 week out of 4 schedule, when required
Technical environment & required skills:
You will work on platforms hosting internally developed applications across on-premise and cloud-native infrastructures.

Expected experience:
Strong experience (>4 years) managing cloud-native workloads in corporate environments
Proven expertise (>4 years) in managing Kubernetes clusters and related components (e.g. Istio, Keda, Harbor)
Professional experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps)
Solid background (>4 years) in managing public cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)
Hands-on scripting experience (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
Knowledge of traditional IT infrastructure and software development environments
Profile we are looking for:
Passionate about cloud-native technologies and platform engineering
Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
Autonomous, proactive and solution-oriented
Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Comfortable working in regulated and structured environments
Team player with mentoring and knowledge-sharing capabilities
Languages
