Information Technology Application Support


Role Overview

The Application Support IT Specialist provides operational and technical support for business-critical applications used by European Institutions. He ensures application availability, incident resolution, user support, and continuous service improvement while working closely with infrastructure, development, and business teams. The role supports daily operations, contributes to problem analysis, and participates in change and release processes in a structured ITIL-based environment.

Main Tasks

  • Handle incidents and service requests (1st/2nd level support)
  • Monitor application availability and performance
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate when needed
  • Support releases, configurations, and maintenance tasks
  • Update documentation and ticketing systems

Requirements

  • Degree or experience in IT or related field
  • 1–5 years in application or IT support
  • Knowledge of ticketing tools and basic SQL
  • Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments
  • Good analytical and communication skills

Languages

  • English and French.
