Logistics at full potential An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Supervisor at our new site in Farciennes, this is supporting a leading technology brand at one of our data centers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Operations Supervisor or a team leader looking to take that next step. Previous experience within a logistics or Supply chain/manufacturing is required. You will be leading a team of 5 initially, as the site grows, so will the team You are constantly managing and motivating your team from an operational level You strive for process and continuous improvements, with a strong focus on Lean principles Strong relationship management expertise, liaising with the client You will need to drive due to the location; initial training will be based in Ghlin You will be fluent in French and English Hours Monday to Friday – 37 hours a week What you do on a typical day Ensures daily/ shift distribution and light manufacturing activities are executed and accountable for performance shortfalls – develop corrective action plans when performance falls below target Manages performance continually; develops associates by providing training and coaching Supervises and develops staff and otherwise carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Assigns duties and monitors work completion for accuracy Maintains a safe work environment and fosters a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required Responsible for achieving customer metrics (quality and responsiveness) Focus on lean principles, 5's, process, and continuous improvements Monitor and adjust personnel scheduling to support all shifts and accounts, plan and organize staff workload Maintain daily and weekly reports, documentation of processes that are followed by the department Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water, and fuel consumption What you need to succeed at GXO Bachelor's degree, e.g., in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management Strong leadership experience needed within a logistics or supply chain/manufacturing environment Fluency in French and English Self-driven, resilient, and able to thrive in a challenging environment Analytical ability to produce productivity data for reporting purposes Able to work in a diverse environment and gain exposure to an international working environment Committed to delivering high-quality work and having a professional, critical attitude and a straight back Result-oriented and like to work proactively, with the ability to use your own initiative Solid personality and are convincing in your communication What we offer you Full-time position in an interesting and challenging environment, where you can develop your own initiatives and work independently within a team of committed colleagues A position with a lot of responsibility, in which no day is the same Managing your own success and the necessary support in your development Unlock the potential of your future Your work environment Working at GXO Logistics means working in a dynamic and international organization.
