About the Role:

As an Index Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades on various stock market indices to maximize profitability while managing risk effectively. Your role involves analyzing market trends, economic data, and financial news to make informed trading decisions in a fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading platforms, and order execution processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and regulatory requirements in the trading industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master's in Financial Engineering or Quantitative Finance.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading and programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CMT, or Series 7 license.
  • Background in quantitative analysis or statistical modeling.
  • Experience working in a high-frequency or electronic trading environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze real-time market data and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities in index products.
  • Execute buy and sell orders for index futures, options, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) with precision and speed.
  • Develop and refine quantitative and qualitative trading strategies based on market research and historical data.
  • Manage risk by setting appropriate stop-loss levels and position sizes, ensuring adherence to risk management protocols.
  • Collaborate with the research team to stay updated on market developments and incorporate new insights into trading decisions.
  • Maintain detailed records of trades and performance metrics for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve trading algorithms and systems to enhance execution efficiency.
