Senior Software Developer – Fullstack/DevOps (Medical Software | ISO environment)
Location: Liège, Belgium (Hybrid)
Contract: Full-time (Permanent)
About the role
On behalf of one of our partners (exclusive mandate), we are recruiting a Senior Software Developer (Fullstack/DevOps) to support the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of medical device software in a regulated environment. You will join a Scrum software team where quality, security, traceability and documentation are core requirements.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain fullstack applications (Java / VueJS / Python) for medical software systems
Apply secure coding practices and security-by-design principles
Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, security and compliance (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 27001)
Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) and contribute to testing activities
Contribute to CI/CD and automate build and deployment processes while maintaining traceability and change control
Work with containerized environments (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
Implement and maintain monitoring, metrics and logging; contribute to reliability and performance improvements
Collaborate with QA/Validation and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant delivery
Profile
Senior experience in software development with fullstack responsibilities
Strong proficiency in Java or Python; good knowledge of modern frontend frameworks / React / Angular)
Strong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL), Git workflows, Docker and Linux/Unix environments
Solid understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure automation (Terraform is a plus)
Quality-driven mindset and comfort with structured processes and documentation
Fluent in French and professional proficiency in English
Nice to have
Experience in regulated environments (medical devices/IVD, pharma, aerospace, finance)
Familiarity with ISO 13485 / IEC 62304 / ISO 27001
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
Exposure to scientific or data-driven environments
