Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Contract Type: Freelance / Contract

Rate: Competitive, market-aligned (dependent on experience)

Duration: 6–12 months (extension likely)

Language: English (Fluent) | Dutch and/or French (Working proficiency)

Project Overview

We’re partnering with a Health Insurance business to deliver a business-critical AI initiative. As AI Architect, you’ll own the end-to-end solution architecture, covering data pipelines, metadata models, SharePoint migration, RAG/LLM layers, search & validation tooling, and delivery governance, ensuring alignment with business goals, UX, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture, AI, cloud, or digital transformation
• Experience with SharePoint migration, metadata models, RAG/LLM, and enterprise data pipelines
• Lead architecture design & technical delivery for AI, RAG/LLM, and data solutions on Azure
• Translate business requirements into technical roadmap, KPIs, and priorities
• Guide multidisciplinary teams and act as senior technical authority
• Embed GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO 42001, and security standards into solutions
• Collaborate with product owners, business, and compliance teams
• Agile/PRINCE2 experience, excellent stakeholder communication, relevant certifications advantageous
