Product Owner

We are seeking a Product Owner to lead and coordinate the delivery of a large-scale, cloud-based digital platform built on open-source technologies. The role combines enterprise architecture oversight, agile delivery leadership, and technical governance across multiple teams..

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end software development lifecycle activities across internal teams and external contractors.
• Drive priorities, scope, and business value delivery within an agile framework.
• Oversee and validate the implementation of cloud-native and open-source architectures.
• Ensure interoperability between open-source building blocks and cloud infrastructure components.
• Review and steer architecture documentation, solution design, and technical standards.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
• Participate in sprint planning, review deliverables, and ensure quality assurance across releases.
• Act as the technical interface between programme leadership and development teams.
• Support testing, deployment, documentation, and reporting activities.

Required Expertise

Open-Source & Data Ecosystems

• Practical experience with open-source data sharing tools and frameworks (e.g., EDC, Gaia-X or similar ecosystems).
• Knowledge of open standards such as W3C DID, DCAT, ODRL.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns and best practices.
• Experience with microservices architectures and cloud-native application design.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and modern cloud deployment models.
• Knowledge of cloud security mechanisms (e.g., Identity Providers, access control models).
• Familiarity with relational databases and data-layer architecture.

Architecture & Delivery

• Experience with enterprise-scale, multi-user systems.
• Proven experience in large programmes within agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, Zachman).
• Excellent understanding of Application Management Lifecycle.
