We're looking for a Senior Java Technical Consultant to join our client's team — a highly connected, complex IT environment where modern architecture meets legacy ecosystems. This is a key role for an experienced professional who thrives at the intersection of development, technical analysis, and architectural advisory, and who enjoys shaping robust, future-proof digital solutions.
The Role
As a senior member of the technical team, you will act as developer, analyst, and technical specialist, contributing both hands-on expertise and strategic guidance. You will design, build, adapt, and optimize applications that enable end users to work efficiently while ensuring performance, resilience, and long-term maintainability.
You will be responsible for:
Developing and enhancing complex enterprise applications
Analyzing technical specifications and defining optimal solution designs for small to mid-sized initiatives
Conducting in-depth technical analyses within broader business projects
Advising on integrations, data models, scalability, and performance optimization
Supporting the adoption of modern technologies and architectural patterns
Resolving complex technical issues in a highly interconnected ecosystem
Ensuring coherence between legacy components and modern microservices architectures
Contributing to secure, controlled, and high-availability IT environments
Technical Expertise
Our client is seeking a highly experienced IT professional with:
7+ years of experience in complex software engineering environments
Strong expertise in modern Java development (Spring framework, microservices, API-driven and event-driven architectures)
Solid experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (e.g., OpenShift)
Advanced knowledge of relational databases (MySQL) and data modeling
Experience with system integrations (messaging systems, REST/GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures)
Strong understanding of resilient, high-availability architectures
Knowledge of security standards and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2
The Ideal Candidate
You combine technical depth with strategic insight and strong communication skills. You are analytical, structured, and capable of translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
You bring:
A Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

A proactive, autonomous, and quality-oriented approach
Fluency in French, Dutch, and English
