Procurement Engineer
Sparkmate is a tribe of fearless makers, solving the world's most pressing problems with hard tech and industrial solutions. About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer with experience and a passion for industrial equipment sourcing, supplier management, and international trade to support our green steel production development. If you love hunting down the best technical solutions AND driving hard negotiations to deliver value, we want to hear from you At Sparkmate, you'll be part of a dynamic, flat-hierarchy, and fun team where you'll work on real-world industrial challenges and help build the supply chain backbone of breakthrough sustainable steel manufacturing technology.
What you'll do:
Source and purchase industrial equipment from international manufacturers, ensuring alignment with project technical specifications and budget requirements
Lead technical discussions with suppliers to evaluate equipment capabilities and resolve engineering queries
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve optimal value
Manage end-to-end supplier relationships and oversee logistics coordination from order placement through delivery and site acceptance
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in industrial equipment procurement, preferably in heavy manufacturing, metallurgy, or chemical processing environments
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to evaluate equipment specifications and engage confidently in engineering discussions with suppliers
Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience managing international supplier relationships
Familiarity with import logistics, incoterms, and cross-border procurement processes
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple concurrent sourcing activities
