We're looking for a Data Engineer to join our client's team and play a key role in building a next-generation data and information platform in a modern cloud environment. Our client is developing a robust analytics ecosystem powered by Databricks within a Microsoft Azure Cloud landscape, with Power BI as the reporting layer. Multiple source systems and applications are integrated into a layered data platform designed to enable advanced analytics use cases and business intelligence solutions. You will join one of several domain-focused teams, working closely with business stakeholders and a central foundation team. In this role, you will contribute to a strategic, project-driven transformation initiative, collaborating with internal experts to deliver scalable and future-proof data solutions. Role & Responsibilities As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to both the expansion and operational stability of the data platform. Your responsibilities include: Further developing the cloud-based data platform in line with our client's architecture and design principles Analyzing, modeling, and implementing data analytics and business intelligence use cases Designing and optimizing data flows across multiple data and information layers Maintaining and supporting the platform in an operational context Collaborating closely with domain teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions This role requires a strong data mindset — someone who truly understands data, thinks in data models and structures, and combines analytical insight with solid technical execution skills. Required Expertise We are looking for a professional with proven experience in the data and BI domain, including: Demonstrated experience as a BI Consultant and in data analysis Strong background in data warehouse modeling and data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures Hands-on experience with Data Vault modeling Experience with Databricks in a cloud environment Solid knowledge of Python or PySpark Strong SQL skills Experience with ETL and broader data management practices Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Experience with Power BI (semantic modeling, governance, and reporting)
