Role Summary
The Digital Medical Specialist will play a vital role in shaping and delivering on our organization's medical digital transformation. In close collaboration with the Medical Excellence Lead. This role will help design and execute on medical omnichannel and digital strategies, in order to meet the changing customer preferences and needs. The candidate will ensure digital innovation is translated into medical use cases to ensure optimal support for the medical teams. This includes understanding how insights from AI-driven tools can enhance medical content and communication.
The candidate will play an instrumental role in planning, deploying, and managing a diverse range of digital communication channels, ensuring that medical content and communications are accessible, relevant, and impactful.
Collaboration between the medical department and IBEX will be central to this position, as this role will work closely with the medical teams and other roles across the different business units to maintain high standards in campaign delivery and compliance. A focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement will be critical, as the candidate will monitor results and adapt strategies to optimize reach and engagement.
The Digital Medical Specialist will be part of the Innovation and Business Excellence team (IBEX), reporting to the Digital Engagement Manager and will help facilitating the digital transformation in the medical department.
Job Responsibilities
INSPIRE AND LEAD
- Act as a leader in digital transformation, inspiring and changing mindsets within the organization to embrace digital customer engagement.
- Advocate for a digital data-driven culture by inspiring colleagues to use analytics and insights for informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead by example in showcasing and providing training on innovative AZ tools, including AI tools, thereby creating an AI-oriented approach within the medical team.
ACCELERATE
- Drive innovation through tangible omnichannel, data, and analytics projects, accelerating the implementation of impactful pilots.
- Serve as the critical liaison between the local market and global teams for digital medical initiatives, leading projects for the broader WESE region.
- Partner with other digital specialists to boost digital uptake and facilitate faster knowledge sharing within AZ BeLux.
- Connect with regional and global groups to enhance capability, processes, and engagement of managing online channels, aligning directions and utilizing best practices.
EXECUTE
- Design and execute medical omnichannel and digital strategies, in close collaboration with the Medical Excellence Lead.
- Orchestrate medical/disease awareness omnichannel campaigns targeting healthcare professionals and scientific audiences with precision and compliance.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of digital projects, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Monitor medical digital performance metrics, generate reports, and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement of digital initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with AZ Policies and Standards, with special emphasis on Code of Conduct, Ethical Interaction Policy and Standards, Privacy, and Procurement.
