Who We Are Driven by the Christian call to love our neighbours as ourselves, CantoGather is a Hong Kong charity founded in 2021 to build one loving CommUnity where every neighbour belongs, across cultures and communities. We bring Cantonese language learning and intercultural education together so that children can participate fully in school life and build meaningful relationships across cultures. Our work is guided by our ABC Model: A — Advance Cantonese Confidence & Competence: We make Cantonese accessible by building students' motivation, confidence, and foundational competence. This enables them to connect with peers and participate fully in classroom life. B — Build Intercultural Competence: We help students practise empathy, respect, and curiosity across cultures. These skills strengthen relationships and nurture a \"we\" mindset in school. C — Connect the Community: We support parents with survival Cantonese and equip teachers with inclusive, culturally sustaining practices. Together, the whole school community grows as one across cultures. We currently partner with primary schools across Hong Kong, supporting students, teachers, and families through programmes that strengthen connection, confidence, and community.
