Want to work in a stimulating environment with colleagues who excel at what they do? As a Solutions Architect, you’ll join a team of bright engineers within the Sales Department. You’ll lead in designing the best solution for each client and oversee delivering an attractive offer that fits their needs, budget and timeframe.

If you’ve spent several years in a technical environment deploying tailor-made solutions, you’ll be right at home in this role. You’ll create and build complex networking and IT solutions and advise the client in the early stages of a project.

You’ll be reporting directly to the Pre-sales Unit Manager.

What you’ll get up to

• Analyse the client’s requirements, design the best solution, and write up an attractive offer.
• Engineer solutions (video, voice over IP and radio) within complex IT and software integration projects for mission-critical control-room environments.
• Carry out presentations and demonstrations of our solutions.
• Support Key Account Managers during solution positioning and proposal negotiations.
• Advise Project Engineers on the actual implementation of your design at the client.
• Explore alternative solutions to meet the client’s requirements when needed.
• Manage the bidding process.
• Apply internal risk management processes during the offer stage.
• Detect and document potential risks associated with different projects.
• Follow up with partners and internal stakeholders involved in the tender process.

Qualifications

• Educational background: Industrial Engineer IT/Electronics or a master in ICT or equivalent experience.
• Several years of relevant technical experience with the delivery of customized solutions and some client contact.
• Interest in technologies: voice over IP, video over IP, radio technology, and software platforms for control rooms.
• Basic understanding of IP networks (LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN) and IT (virtual machines, Windows servers, etc.).
• Good grasp of how to integrate specific software modules and identify the matching IT platform (e.g., OPC-DA/UA, web APIs (SOAP, REST)).

• Excellent at face-to-face meetings with clients, and able to empathize with their needs.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to structure text to make a solution appealing to clients.
• Organized, autonomous, results-driven, and able to meet deadlines.
• Passion for technology.
• Fully comfortable in Dutch and fluent in English.
