SAP FI Consultant

For a long-term S/4HANA transformation and optimization project, we are seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant. The role focuses on SAP Finance process consulting, system customization, and sub-project management within an S/4HANA environment.

If the consultant is able to cover both FI and CO , the assignment can be full-time. If limited to FI scope only, the workload will be approximately 50%.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and optimize finance processes within SAP S/4HANA
• Conduct requirements engineering in close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications
• Perform system customizing and configuration
• Support testing, go-live preparation, and hypercare phases
• Provide user support and knowledge transfer
• Take responsibility for FI-related sub-projects or workstreams
• Coordinate tasks, timelines, and deliverables
• Act as the main contact for finance-related topics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, controlling, logistics, etc.)
• Work closely with specialist departments (Finance & Controlling)
• Facilitate workshops and process discussions
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and SAP best practices

Required Qualifications

• Several years of hands‑on experience in SAP Finance (FI), ideally in S/4HANA environments
• Solid customizing experience in FI (and CO if applicable)
• Experience as a lead consultant or sub‑project manager
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes
• Experience working in international and cross‑functional teams
• Fluent in German and English

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing industry
• Prior involvement in S/4HANA transformation projects
• Exposure to analytics and planning solutions (SAC)
