Alpha School is creating an AI-driven education model in which students complete core academics in two hours daily, then dedicate their afternoons to developing practical life competencies. Our commitment is precise and rigorous: students enjoy learning, progress at twice the rate of their peers, and acquire real-world skills. This position ensures that commitment becomes reality for every K–8 learner at our Dorado location.
You will remain deeply involved. You will deliver one-hour life skills sessions, facilitate structured goal-setting meetings that propel students through academic platforms, and provide Guides with direct coaching and specific action steps for improvement. This is neither a conventional teaching position nor a detached management role. You will own outcomes, playbook adherence, and non-negotiable performance standards.

What You Will Be Doing
Deliver one-hour life skills sessions for K–8 learners by preparing and implementing activities in strict alignment with playbooks
Lead structured goal-setting sessions designed to drive student progress in academic applications and achievement of targets
Monitor Guides during delivery and provide standards-aligned coaching with explicit improvement directives and accountability
Apply objective, metrics-based judgment to maintain mastery benchmarks, even in challenging circumstances
Work closely with on-campus teams daily to guarantee consistent fulfillment of Alpha's 3 Promises
What You Won't Be Doing
Deliver or tutor academic subject matter in traditional classroom settings
Develop lesson plans or create curriculum materials
Deviate from established playbooks or improvise workshop content
Compromise mastery benchmarks or adjust targets downward to create artificial success
Manage remotely through administrative tasks while others engage directly with students
ESports Coach Key Responsibilities
Ensure every K–8 student at Alpha's Dorado campus reliably experiences Alpha's 3 Promises: they enjoy school, learn at twice the pace of peers, and develop life skills.
Basic Requirements
Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico
Capacity to work full-time on-site at the Dorado, Puerto Rico campus
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of applicable experience coaching individuals toward ambitious results
Background working with children ages 5–14 in coaching, motivational, or youth development contexts
Track record coaching or managing adult performance using clear standards and accountability mechanisms
Effective verbal communication skills tailored to K–8 learners
Capability to make data-informed decisions (leveraging metrics and analytics to guide actions and uphold standards)
High-performance mindset with readiness to deliver direct feedback and sustain goals without exception

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
