Tasks and responsibilities Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Functional Analyst in Asset Management to reinforce the GIS & Asset Management team as part of an external consultancy engagement. The consultant will support ongoing developments of our GIS ecosystem and contribute to the implementation of our Electrical Network Load Simulation Tool. The mission includes: Key Responsibilities Contribute to the implementation of the Load Simulation Tool of the electrical network. Analyse business needs, lead workshops, and translate requirements into clear and complete functional solutions. Define and validate functional designs in alignment with our client's IT architecture and existing systems (GIS, ADMS, Asset Management, mobile tools, etc.). Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Support the full development lifecycle: requirements analysis, functional specifications, validation of developer deliverables. Prepare, coordinate, and execute test plans; ensure quality of delivered applications. Document defects, follow up on resolutions, and provide 2nd line support for incidents and problem management. Assist the business in performing GIS desktop analyses to support network modelling and simulation. Contribute to the evolution and optimisation of GIS applications (desktop, web, mobile). Support change management and provide training to end users related to the adoption of Load Simulation Tool solutions. Required Skills & Experience Professional Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS Minimum 3 years as a functional analyst Minimum 3 years of experience in Asset Management in an industrial environment Experience in utilities is a strong asset Languages (Mandatory) French fluent or Dutch fluent Professional working proficiency in the other language (FR / NL) English fluent Technical Skills (Mandatory) Advanced knowledge of Oracle SQL Strong understanding of API standards (REST, SOAP) and integration formats (JSON, XML) Advanced knowledge of QGIS Advanced Python skills Professional experience with GIS data models, network modelling, and spatial analysis Solid understanding of GIS integration in enterprise environments Common use of JIRA Common use of Postman Technical Skills (Should to Have) Experience with QGIS Server Experience with Hexagon products (Core Networks, Networks Portal, G/Technology) Experience with utility network GIS systems (electricity, gas, fiber…) Experience contributing to or implementing a Load Simulation Tool Experience with UML, BPMN, and test methodologies Knowledge of Enterprise Architect Soft Skills (Mandatory) Proactive, analytical, and structured approach Strong communication and coordination skills Ability to work autonomously and take ownership Team spirit and customer-oriented mindset Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly Offer You will be part of a growing Belgian SME where initiative and personal development are encouraged.
