Now, only five years after being founded, close to 8 million citizens use the itsme® app , to identify themselves and sign documents online. We are looking for a skilledBackend Developer to join our expanding technology team. In this role, you will play a key part in building and modernizing our backend architecture, contributing to the development of a secure, scalable, and high-performance platform.

What your job looks like

• Develop and maintain backend systems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

• Participate in the design and implementation of a modern microservices architecture using Go.

• Translate functional requirements into clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

• Contribute to backend restructuring efforts, helping to build a future-proof infrastructure.

• Work closely with the Tech Lead, frontend developers, QA engineers, product owners, and architects in an Agile development environment.

• Engage in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement.

• Support DevOps initiatives, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and leveraging cloud technologies.

• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, helping to build a strong in‑house backend development team.

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development, working with modern programming languages and frameworks.

• You have experience withAgile development and an understanding of DevOps practices.

• You are familiar withcloud‑native solutions, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD pipelines (a plus).

• You are ateam player with strong communication skills.

• You thrive in afast‑paced, innovative environment and are eager to learn and grow.

• Experience withGo is a must

• You are fluent inEnglish. And full proficiency in either Dutch / French.
