Expanding steadily since its launch in 2003, the ACENSI group is an IT consultancy firm, well known for their technical and functional know-how, who specialize in Telecommunications, Media and Financial Markets, as well as in the Energy industry. ACENSI guides businesses in evolutionary IT projects from the initial strategies through to their realization (Management and Project management, Development, Design and Implementation, Infrastructure). From its original focus on technical engineering and Business Analysis, ACENSI has developed new areas of expertise in Human Resource Management Systems, Business Intelligence, e-learning and Client Relationship Management. Dynamism, enthusiasm and social development are all valued at ACENSI, allowing our clients to benefit from consultants with a true blend of talents. ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client an Infrastructure Architect (F/M/X) Role Description • Within the ICT department of the client, the Infrastructure Architect is responsible for developing a long-term vision for the future infrastructure architecture (\"To Be\"). This To Be architecture is accompanied by a coherent roadmap to support its implementation. Both the architecture and the roadmap should ensure that the client makes the right strategic choices and investment decisions, and that multi-year budgeting becomes possible. • The Infrastructure Architect is expected to actively collaborate with a team, including staff from the Infrastructure Department, representatives of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), and the Enterprise Architecture team. These colleagues will provide as much relevant documentation as possible in advance, including As Is architecture documentation and high-level planning for infrastructure projects aimed at achieving timely NIS2 compliance (e.g.,exiting G-Cloud, onboarding SECaaS2, etc.). • The architect must be capable of working independently, minimizing the workload on internal staff. Based on their expertise, practical experience, and knowledge of technological trends, the architect must be able to advise the client independently on making the right decisions. • Using the supplied documentation, the architect will develop the To Be architecture and the corresponding roadmap. They will then be responsible for supporting the rollout of the roadmap. This includes advising projects on architectural issues, participating in the Architecture Board, contributing to studies, and helping draft technical specifications. Responsibilities Architecture & Planning • Developing the To Be architecture, considering current technological developments and the possibility of procuring services via federal framework contracts (e.g., SECaaS2). • Creating the roadmap to implement the To Be architecture. Component & Contract Strategy • For all existing components/maintenance contracts: • Defining the strategy, possibly based on a preliminary study, which may result in: o Extension of existing components/contracts. o A phase-out plan for existing components and the introduction of new ones (via new specifications, framework contracts, etc.). New projects must be initiated for this. Organizational Advice • Advising on the required staffing level of the architecture team and the impact on personnel planning. Continuity is essential (as several key individuals will leave the FASFC in the coming years), and single points of failure must be avoided. • Advising on collaboration between the architecture team, the CCoE, and the Architecture Board. • Advising on potential cost savings that can be achieved by making the right investment decisions; providing input for business cases. Roadmap & Architecture Follow-up • Monitoring the realization of the To Be architecture and the roadmap, including active participation in the Architecture Board and close involvement in projects launched in the context of NIS2. Knowledge and Experience Education • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience • At least 10 years of experience in ICT infrastructure, including a minimum of 8 years in an architecture role (Infrastructure Architect, Solution Architect, or equivalent). • Demonstrable experience in developing long-term infrastructure visions and roadmaps. Technical Expertise Core Infrastructure (8 years) • Compute & Servers (Windows & Linux server environments, on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-based workloads) • Virtualization & Containerization (VMware / others, Docker & Kubernetes (AKS)). • Storage & Backup (SAN/NAS, object storage, backup & disaster recovery strategies). Cloud & Platforms (4 years) • Public cloud (focus on Azure): Azure landing zones, IaaS / PaaS architectures, cost management & governance. • Hybrid & multi-cloud architectures (on-premcloud integration, connectivity: VPN, ExpressRoute, etc.) Identity, Directory & Collaboration (4 years) • Identity & Access Management (IAM): Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO, MFA & Conditional Access, IGA. • Directory services: Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD Connect), hybrid identity scenarios. • Authentication & authorization protocols: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, ADFS or alternatives. • Microsoft 365 tenant: O365 architecture, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, security & governance. Network & Security (2 years) • Network architecture (LAN/WAN, cloud networking: VNets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls). • Security architecture (Zero Trust principles, endpoint security, identity-based security). • Compliance & risk (logging & monitoring, security baselines & policies) DevOps & Application Support (1 year) • CI/CD & automation (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform). • Application platforms (.NET Core, App Services, API Management) • Environment lifecycle (Dev/Test/Acceptance/Production, release & deployment strategies) Data & Integration (1 year) • Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Azure SQL). • Data platforms (data integration & pipelines). • Integration architecture (APIs, messaging, event-driven architecture). Additional Skills • Knowledge of enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF or equivalent) is a strong asset. • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments and teams. • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly to various stakeholders. • Proactive, results-oriented, able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
