As a Hardware/Software Validation Engineer in the automotive industry at MCA Belgium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of embedded systems. You will be responsible for testing and validating both hardware and software components to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve automotive system performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for hardware and software validation of automotive systems.
• Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing on embedded systems.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, AUTOSAR, etc.).
• Collaborate with software and hardware development teams to refine system specifications.
• Develop automated test scripts and tools to enhance validation efficiency.
• Document test procedures, results, and improvement recommendations.
• Support system integration and troubleshooting activities.
  

• Master's in automotive engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in hardware or software validation within the automotive sector.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, etc.).
• Proficiency in validation tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, or LabVIEW.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, CAPL, or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of automotive safety and cybersecurity standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
