About the Client

Our client is a growing multi‐technical contractor expanding their Electrical Business Unit to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure and industrial projects across Belgium. They are seeking an experienced Freelance Electrical Engineer or Project Manager with high‐voltage expertise to join their team beginning in March.

Role Overview

As a freelance Electrical Project Engineer/PM, you will support the delivery of medium‐ and high‐voltage electrical projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution. You will work across industrial plants, infrastructure sites, and utility-grade installations. The role includes hybrid working (2 days remote) and travel between two Belgian operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Engineering

• Review and support design packages for MV/HV installations (substations, switchgear, protection systems).
• Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Ensure adherence to Belgian HV regulations and project specifications.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate activities between stakeholders: internal engineering teams, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure correct execution of HV works.
• Support planning, risk management, procurement, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or equivalent.
• Proven freelance experience in HV/MV industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to travel between two Belgian locations.
• Languages: English required; Dutch or French is a plus.
