Business Analyst - Focus in AI Solutions

Fujitsu is supporting a European Union Institution in Brussels and is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.

This role combines business analysis expertise, AI/ML knowledge, and data analytics skills, within an agile software development context.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and model business processes and information systems within a large institutional environment
• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements
• Support the design and lifecycle of AI and NLP-based systems
• Collaborate with technical teams on data analytics, machine learning, and system integration
• Contribute to the analysis of large-scale, structured and unstructured datasets
• Use modeling techniques and tools to support system design and decision-making
• Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and data scientists in an agile environment

Required Knowledge & Skills

Business Analysis & Methodologies

• Strong knowledge of business analysis and modeling techniques
• (use case diagrams, state diagrams, ER models, interaction diagrams, etc.)
• Good knowledge of BPMN, UML, or equivalent modeling tools
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Agile, RUP)
• Familiarity with Wiki and collaborative platforms
• Understanding of large organization administrative and business processes

AI, Data & Analytics

• Strong experience in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Knowledge of the NLP systems lifecycle
• Experience in corpus-based linguistics
• Experience with alignment models and classification methods
• Excellent knowledge of data analytics techniques and tools
• Experience working with large datasets, non-structured databases, and data lakes
• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs)

Technical Skills

• Programming experience with Python, R, and/or PERL
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies
• (MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL-based systems)
• Experience with ETL processes and tools (e.g. SAS, Talend Open Studio)
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, SAS, SAP, GoodData
• Understanding of architectural design of scalable modern data stores
• Knowledge of Graph Databases

AI & Advanced Analytics Expertise

• Machine learning algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Networks)
• Predictive analytics (forecasting, recommendation systems)
• Prescriptive analytics (simulation)
• Sentiment analysis and topic detection
• Social media crawling and processing
• Plagiarism detection
• Trend and anomaly detection in large datasets
