As a SENIOR TECHNICAL PURCHASER , you play a key role in securing the technical and commercial success of Verdon’s EPC and industrial piping projects. You are responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and developing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and optimizing purchasing processes in collaboration with engineering, project management, and quality teams.
Technical & Operational Purchasing
Manage end-to-end purchasing for technical equipment, piping components, industrial materials, and subcontracted services.
Analyse project specifications and challenge technical requirements with the Engineering Department.
Ensure cost optimization, risk mitigation, and alignment with project planning.
Contracting & Contract Negotiation
Draft, analyse, and negotiate purchasing contracts.
Supply Chain Planning
Align procurement schedules with project milestones.
Anticipate supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor delivery performance and logistics coordination.
Supplier Quality Management
Work with QA/QC to resolve non-conformities.
Monitor compliance with industrial standards.
Data Management & ERP Systems
Ensure purchasing data integrity in the ERP system.
Analyse procurement KPIs and generate reports.
Support digitalization of procurement processes.
Promote a data-driven and digital-first culture.
Identify opportunities to integrate AI in procurement workflows.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, or related field.
Languages : Mother Tongue French with a very good knowledge of English
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in technical purchasing within industrial B2B environments.
Proven experience in contract negotiation and purchasing strategy.
