Maintenance Technician

Freelance Maintenance Technician – Food & Manufacturing Sites (Belgium)

I’m currently supporting several manufacturing and production companies in Antwerp who are looking to engage experienced freelance maintenance technicians for long-term on-site support.

These are hands-on roles within automated production environments where reliability and fast breakdown response are key.

Location: Flanders / Brussels region

Contract: Freelance (long-term projects with extension)

Start: Ongoing requirements throughout Q1–Q2

Schedule: Day shift or 2-shift depending on site

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Electrical & mechanical maintenance on production lines
• Fast diagnosis and resolution of breakdowns
• Preventive & corrective maintenance
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
• Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, sensors, PLC-controlled machinery
• Continuous improvement & reliability work

⚙️ Desired Experience

• Strong experience as a maintenance or service technician in manufacturing
• Background in food, packaging, FMCG, or industrial production ideal
• Electrical and/or mechanical maintenance skills
• Basic PLC knowledge (Siemens S7, TIA, Rockwell etc.) beneficial
• Comfortable working fully on-site
• Able to work independently as a freelancer

🌍 Language Requirements

• Dutch speaking preferred
• English required
• French a bonus (not essential)
