Global Sales Director Sheet Vinyl


The Global Sales Director will be responsible for leading and professionalizing the sales organization of a €200M business, driving sustainable growth across multiple channels and international markets.

This role requires a strategic yet hands‑on leader who can balance operational excellence with long‑term vision, while fostering a high‑performing and customer‑oriented culture. Combining strategic vision with strong commercial acumen, you will act as a key ambassador of our product, fostering long‑term partnerships and guiding your team toward profitable growth.

You will be managing a team of approximately 70 people, including our Customer Service team and our Sales Directors. Our HQ of Sheet Vinyl is located in Avelgem.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, processes, tools and KPIs to professionalize and scale the sales organization.
  • Lead and develop an international sales team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and commercial excellence.
  • Oversee all sales channels including DIY/Retail, Wholesale and OEM/Industry.
  • Drive B2B and B2B2C business development strategies to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Manage the customer service department, ensuring best‑in‑class service and strong collaboration with Sales.
  • Partner closely with the General Manager and other senior leaders to define and execute commercial priorities.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Represent the company externally with professionalism and credibility at senior (EXCO/GM) level.

Profile

  • Proven track record in introducing effective sales processes, tools and KPI’s within a medium‑sized organization.
  • Ability to operate at the right strategic and tactical level: think big, act hands‑on.
  • Strong experience in both B2B and B2B2C selling environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing international, multi‑channel sales teams.
  • Experience managing Customer Service as part of the commercial function.
  • Able to communicate professionally in at least three languages (Dutch, English, French or German).
  • Experienced in reporting to senior executive level and managing other managers.
  • Proven experience leading tender processes.
  • Strong leadership presence and gravitas to manage a senior team.
  • Background in the industry or related sectors is a plus – know how the DIY/retail works and how to pinch them.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%-40% of the time.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional initiatives, good stakeholder management.
