ph3Overview /h3pThe MSF Academy for Healthcare is an MSF intersectional initiative created to increase the quality of healthcare in MSF-supported services by strengthening the skills and competencies of healthcare workers through structured, competency-based and recognized or accredited learning programs. The Academy has a growing portfolio of learning programmes addressing specific learning needs for different categories of healthcare staff in MSF managed or supported services. Projects are aligned with overall MSF medical operational priorities. The Academy focuses on MSF’s national staff and increasingly includes staff of ministries of health, especially in countries with the largest gaps in human resources for health capacity. It develops adapted comprehensive curricula and invests in clinical mentorship in the healthcare services of practice. Beyond MSF projects, the Academy connects to health authorities to recognize its learning programmes and sometimes provides financial, organisational and pedagogical support to existing schools for training healthcare workers.
