ppAccountancy Europe is the voice of the European accountancy profession. As the umbrella organisation for 49 professional bodies, we represent 1 million accountants, auditors and advisors in Europe. We translate their daily experience to inform the European policy debate. /p pAs Accountancy Europe strengthens its strategic positioning towards 2030, we are looking for a bHead of Communication /b who will play a central role in shaping our visibility, influence, and engagement with key stakeholders across the EU and beyond. /p h3We offer you: /h3 ul liA senior strategic role at the heart of the European policy debate; /li liThe opportunity to shape and lead the communications agenda of a respected European organisation; /li liA dynamic and international working environment in Brussels; /li liDirect exposure to EU institutions, policymakers, media, and senior leaders of the profession; /li liSignificant opportunities for professional growth, leadership, and impact; /li liA competitive salary package and benefits, aligned with experience; /li /ul h3Your key responsibilities include: /h3 ul liDeveloping and executing targeted communication strategies that strengthen the visibility of Accountancy Europe’s key policy areas (e.g. audit assurance, tax, governance), support strategic crisis communication, and position the organisation as a trusted thought leader; /li liProactively engaging with journalists, media outlets, and relevant stakeholders; drafting press releases; handling media enquiries; and securing high‑level speaking opportunities for senior leadership; /li liLeading, coordinating, and empowering a small communications team; setting clear priorities; fostering collaboration across teams; and supporting professional development; /li liStrengthening member‑facing communications through the development of value packs, factsheets, and practical communication tools, as well as supporting surveys and feedback mechanisms to assess impact and relevance; /li liOverseeing Accountancy Europe’s digital channels (website, social media), ensuring high‑quality, consistent, and SEO‑optimised content aligned with strategic objectives; /li liMindset: ability to understand socio‑economic impact of the profession, ambitious, and a solution‑oriented approach. /li /ul h3The successful candidate will have: /h3 ul liA University degree (preferably in digital communication or public relations) /li liMinimum 7 years professional experience in communications, media, public relations, or a related field, preferably in an EU institution, European association, civil society organisation, consultancy, or similar Brussels‑based environment /li liExceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills in English; ability to translate complex policy topics into clear, impactful messages; strong media and stakeholder communication skills. Knowledge of additional EU languages is a strong asset /li liProven experience with content management systems (e.g. WordPress), email marketing tools (e.g. MailChimp), social media platforms (notably LinkedIn), and familiarity with digital analytics and emerging AI tools /li liDemonstrated experience in team leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and working effectively in a multicultural environment /li liAn interest in EU Affairs and the EU policymaking /li liA strong interest in serving the public interest, a proactive and solution‑oriented attitude, and the ambition to contribute strategically to the future of the profession in Europe /li lia motivation letter of maximum one page and, /li lia CV of maximum two pages. /li /ul pCVs should indicate the current status of your right to work in the EU. /p pOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
