Help Redesign How HR Is Delivered to SMEs & Scale-Ups

📍 Belgium / Netherlands focus

🌍 Fully remote possible but you need to be BE based (occasional travel required to clients or NS People meetings)

About NS People

NS People is rethinking how HR is delivered to SMEs and growing companies.

Too often, HR in smaller organizations is reactive, fragmented or overly dependent on one person. We believe HR should be structured, tech-enabled and built to scale from day one.

We support entrepreneurial companies in Belgium and the Netherlands (typically 20–150 employees) by building strong HR foundations and running operations properly — combining:

  • HR-as-a-Service ownership
  • Smart HR tech implementation
  • Structured processes & compliance
  • Practical, hands-on execution

We standardize and automate the recurring 70–80% of HR work, so our HR Leaders can focus on managers, strategy and growth.

We are also still building ourselves. That means playbooks are evolving, systems are improving, and we are scaling our internal capabilities. This is not a “plug-and-play” environment — this is a company you help shape.

The Role

As People Operations Partner, you are the operational engine behind our client work.

You support multiple SME and scale-up clients in running HR operations smoothly and professionally. You work closely with our HR Managers and take ownership of execution, payroll coordination and HR systems.

This is a hands-on role with strong process ownership and a clear tech focus.

What You’ll Do

You will:

  • Run and coordinate payroll for Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Ensure accurate HR administration and compliance
  • Manage contracts, addenda and HR documentation
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Optimize and maintain HRIS/Payroll systems (SD, Acerta, Officient, Personio and others)
  • Structure employee data and improve data quality
  • Support benefits administration (cars, insurance, meal vouchers, etc.)
  • Standardize and document processes across clients
  • Contribute to strengthening our internal playbooks

You bring clarity, structure and efficiency to everything you touch.

Your Profile

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR Operations or People Administration
  • Proven experience running payroll in Belgium and the Netherlands (required)
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation (Dutch labour law is a plus)
  • Tech-savvy, with a genuine interest in automation and employee experience
  • Structured, detail-oriented and reliable
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
