Project Manager – Infrastructure & Hardware Integration

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced ICT Project Manager – Equipment Integration to lead infrastructure and hardware integration initiatives within their organization.

In this role, you will be end-to-end responsible for the preparation, coordination, and successful delivery of equipment integration projects, including ICT infrastructure setup, monitoring implementation, and operational readiness in close collaboration with the equipment team.

You will ensure alignment with objectives, scope, budget, and timeline as defined in the project charter. With your strong project management expertise, you will coordinate technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with governance, quality standards, and operational requirements.


The assignment


Project Planning & Coordination:

  • Define and maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date project plan, including deliverables, timelines, resources, risks, dependencies and a testing strategy.
  • Ensure projects are executed in line with agreed standards and methodology, including quality gating and thorough testing activities to ensure readiness before go-live.
  • Coordinate, motivate, and support cross-functional teams involved in infrastructure setup and hardware integration.

Infrastructure & Technical Setup:

  • Oversee the setup and configuration of ICT environments.
  • Ensure implementation of monitoring solutions to guarantee system stability and performance.
  • Coordinate installation and configuration of specific L&G hardware components.
  • Ensure proper NTP configuration and clock synchronization across integrated systems.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to infrastructure and integration activities.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting efforts during implementation and stabilization phases.

Access & Governance:

  • Manage and oversee access rights setup and maintenance in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Ensure alignment with internal IT security and compliance policies.

Operational setup:

  • Define and establish the support model, including roles, responsibilities, SLAs, and escalation paths.
  • Act as the contact person to manage on-going change across ICT and the equipment.
  • Organize training sessions, ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer.

Governance & Reporting:

  • Establish appropriate project governance, organizing project team meetings and steering committees.
  • Present key decision points, impacts, and alternatives to steering committees.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress, budget, risks, and issues to the ICT Business Partner, Business Owner and other project team members.

Handover to Operations:

  • Ensure complete knowledge transfer and operational readiness before project closure.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization and ensure smooth transition to support teams.

Single Point of Contact:

  • Act as the primary contact for the equipment team when it comes to all ICT work to be done


Required knowledge and skills


Education & Experience:

  • A master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure or hardware integration projects, ideally in an industrial context
  • Strong background in project and change management.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure concepts (environments, monitoring, access management, synchronization).
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, SAFe), applied pragmatically.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch knowledge is a plus).


Technical Tools Expertise:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, PowerApps, OneDrive, etc.).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT infrastructure environments is a plus.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with L&G hardware integration projects.
  • Familiarity with defining operational support models.
  • Previous experience in complex, fast-paced technical environments.
