Senior Consultant / Manager – Public Transport & Aviation | Belgium (Hybrid)

At Methis Consulting, you join a fast-growing business & IT consultancy (85+ colleagues in BE & NL) supporting critical infrastructure sectors: public transport/aviation and energy. We help clients improve operations, implement new technologies, and deliver sustainable business change. We’re looking for a Senior Consultant / Manager who combines strong delivery skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships. You’ll work full-time on client assignments while also helping position Methis for new opportunities in public transport and aviation.

Your impact

In this role, you will lead and deliver transformation projects for top-tier organizations (operators, authorities, airports, ecosystem partners). You’ll ensure quality and coherence across workstreams, guide consultants, and drive measurable improvements in customer and operational processes.

What you’ll do

• Lead and deliver business transformation initiatives: new operating models, technology implementations, and process optimization
• Optimize end-to-end customer and operational processes, including adoption and change within the organization
• Manage business & IT projects (scope, planning, risks, dependencies, delivery quality)
• Lead stakeholder management across business, IT, and external partners
• Build and maintain a relevant network with current and new customers; support proposal shaping and positioning
• Coach and guide consultants on projects and in their professional development
• Contribute to growing Methis’ footprint in public transport & aviation (thought leadership, events, knowledge building)

What you bring (must-have)

• Bachelor’s + Master’s degree with a technical / quantitative component
• 4+ years relevant experience, including consulting experience
• Strong ability to quickly understand client processes, systems, and constraints
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; confident in workshops and steering conversations
• Experience building and maintaining customer relationships
• Fluent in Dutch or French, and English

Nice to have (strong plus)

• Proven experience in public transport (operations, planning, passenger services, ticketing, revenue protection, asset mgmt, station/rail ecosystem) and/or aviation (airport operations, passenger journey, turnaround, safety/compliance, service providers)
• Experience with Agile delivery, product/project governance, vendor management
• Experience with process modelling (BPMN), business case/value tracking, change management
