Functional / Data Analyst – Control Room Transformation

To strengthen the team, we're looking for a Functional / Data Analyst who can translate business needs into clear functional designs and help deliver high-quality digital solutions.

Your Impact

Requirements & Analysis

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders (Risk, Compliance, Data Owners, Process Experts) to uncover needs and pain points.
• Analyze and challenge requirements, transforming them into structured functional specifications.
• Model current and future processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities.

Functional Design

• Design dashboards, alerts, workflows, data flows, user journeys, and reporting features.
• Define automated control rules and alert mechanisms.
• Ensure alignment with the overall architecture and long-term vision.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work in an agile setup alongside developers, data specialists, and Product Owners.
• Act as the bridge between business and IT.
• Support refinement sessions, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization.
• Validate deliverables during testing cycles and guide business acceptance testing.
• Translate complex topics into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain clear documentation (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria).
• Proactively identify improvements in UX, process efficiency, and system usability.
• Contribute to building a scalable and future-proof control-room ecosystem.

Your Profile

Must-Have

• Proven experience as Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar in digital/data-driven projects.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into developer-ready functional designs.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in risk or compliance environments.
• Knowledge of process modelling (BPMN, UML, ...).
• Experience with dashboarding/monitoring tools (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Splunk, etc.).
• Familiarity with workflow and automation tools.
• Understanding of data models and APIs.
• Dutch language skills.
