IoT/Cloud Ops Engineer
Octave is a cleantech scale-up on a mission to deploy cutting-edge energy management and storage solutions. We are looking for an
IoT/Cloud Ops Engineer
to join our team, to help build and scale our energy management platform. You will ensure that thousands of distributed devices remain healthy, secure, and up-to-date, while enabling the business to operate smoothly at scale.
Your role: Maintain shared AWS infrastructure Own delivery pipelines of Octave’s fleet of bare metal IoT devices Support domain teams when setting up security, build pipelines, infrastructure as code and other cross-concern aspects Enable observability across our numerous tech stacks
What we are looking for: Expertise in DevOps automation and AWS infrastructure, with a proven track record of results in production Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and IT networking Good knowledge of software security principles Experience with Python and CI/CD Ownership and hands-on mindset: ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver stable results in production Strong communication skills in English
Bonus Points For Experience with
Mender.io
and AWS IoT Knowledge of industrial data protocols such as Modbus and RS485. Interest in energy management or cleantech.
What we offer: An attractive salary package. A nice office in Mechelen Flexible working hours with hybrid working, ideally 2-3 days at the office and 2-3 days to work remotely.
