Senior Application Platform Engineer

Your mission 🎯

You’ll join a senior platform team responsible for maintaining and evolving enterprise application platforms where in-house applications “land”.

In short:

You build it. You improve it. You keep it running. You help developers succeed.

Your responsibilities 💼

• Design, implement and manage changes to application platforms (Windows Server & AKS)

• Maintain and optimize platform components and document support procedures

• Guide developers and architects during solution design and support them through go-live

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform deep-dive root cause analysis

• Coach and support fellow team members on platform components

• Continuously propose and implement platform improvements

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (1 week every 4 weeks, if requested)

Your profile 🌍

• You can at least follow conversations in Dutch and French (mandatory) and are fluent in English

• You are passionate about cloud-native technologies

• You combine traditional IT knowledge with modern software engineering practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

• Excellent communication skills

• Comfortable working in a regulated enterprise environment

Technical expertise 🛠️

We are looking for a true platform engineer with solid hands-on experience:

• 4+ years managing cloud-native workloads in a corporate context

• 4+ years managing Kubernetes clusters and ecosystem tools (Istio, Keda, Harbor, etc.)

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)

• CI/CD expertise (Azure DevOps or similar)

• 4+ years managing public cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS)

• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI)

Technical environment ⚙️

You will work on two enterprise-grade application platforms:

• On-prem platform based on Windows Application Servers

• Cloud-native platform built on AKS (Kubernetes) for containerized workloads
